As it turned out the previous Jouhikko was instrument I played frequently, so I decided to build an improved version and well, it's a huge improvement 
I'm really happy with the sound. Much more lively and warm!
It has a solid quartersawn maple body with a pine top, and some Sami shaman drum inspired woodburning: A suncross, a bow and a raven( more generally a bird, but I want it to be a raven
).
No powertools were used, i just had tons of fun with my new chisels.
